"Remembering The Jeet Kune Do Street Fighting Series"

About Paul Vunak

Paul Vunak is a renowned martial artist, best known for his pioneering work in Jeet Kune Do (JKD) and the development of the Rapid Assault Tactics (RAT) system. Trained directly under Dan Inosanto, Vunak became one of the most respected authorities on JKD and Filipino martial arts.

In the 1980s, Paul Vunak was recruited by the U.S. Navy SEALs to develop a close-quarters combat program that would be fast, effective, and applicable in high-stress situations. This led to the creation of RAT, a streamlined, aggressive fighting system designed for real-world encounters.

Over the years, Vunak has trained elite military units, law enforcement, and civilians, helping them develop the mindset and skills needed to defend themselves effectively. His Street Fighting Series became a staple in the martial arts community, offering raw, no-nonsense instruction on street self-defense and real-world combat.

Vunak's philosophy revolves around adaptability, fluidity, and controlled aggression, combining elements of JKD, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Kali, Muay Thai, and other disciplines. His teachings continue to influence martial artists worldwide, keeping the essence of Bruce Lee’s JKD alive while evolving it for modern times.
